Salary Grade C (FTE £24,405 - £25,430)

Actual Salary £23,147 to £24,119

Generic Role Profile (#2009)


We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated colleague who is passionate about supporting the emotional development of children in order to ensure the highest levels of inclusion in our all-through school. The successful candidate with be patient, creative and of a positive disposition, with a belief and determination that every child can be successful in their learning.

 

Key aspects of the role include:

  • to support pupils to access their lessons successfully which may include pupils with SEMH needs (social, emotional and mental health) or specific learning difficulties;

  • regular liaison with families to support them in building consistency between home and school;

  • in-class support for key pupils;

  • leading activities to support parents/carers in positive engagement with children in order to promote learning;

  • leading small group or 1:1 sessions on developing emotional literacy;

  • supporting additional events in school such as parent/child workshops and information evenings;

  • home visits to support improved attendance;

  • supporting the emotional development of all children, including those with most need;

  • being committed to supporting the school strategy for reading and literacy for learning.

     

The successful candidate will work as part of our Pupil Support Team (all-through) and will be predominantly based in our Secondary Phase.
